I would like to share it to you.
But I'm not sure that you can understand what I write down here, because I'm not good at English.
So, Please contact me if you can't understand it.
If you design your own Model through Solidworks ( CATIA etc. ), I think you want to import in Webots.
1. Export - STL file
Before export STL file,
Please find Tools -> Options -> Export ( in System Options ) -> File Formal : changing something to 'STL' ->
Then you can choose the option which is "Save all components of an assembly in a single file."
- If you choose it, then your model will export 1 STL file.
- If you don't choose it, then your model will export several STL files. ( it depends on your assembly file how many parts have. )
2. Delete the whole things in default environment.
Before you import your model into Blender, you should delete all the things.
3. Import STL file into Blender
4. Change the Location all the things : ) [ if you want ]
5. Export VRML 97 file from Blender
File -> User Preferences ( ctrl+alt+U ) -> Add ons -> search "VRML" -> you can find 2 things ( import-export : VRML 2 and Web3D X3D/VRML2 format ) -> check it -> after that you can export your file to VRML 97
[ If you want to put your model into Webots, you have to change your file type to VRML 97 ]
6. Import VRML 97 file into Webots.
